Should a person finish getting a business degree if they have completed half and lose interest?
My 23 year old son has been working on a business degree online for 2 years and wants to discontinue with school. Should I encourage him to complete his degree when he has lost interest? I told him to determine exactly how many classes he has left and decide if it is worth the time and money. He was extremely enthusiastic 2 years ago. He has dropped out of another program in the past.
A major question involves the school.
If it is a proprietary for-profit school such as the University of Phoenix or Kaplan University, for example, your son has probably realized that the instruction is of very low quality and that the degree will be virtually worthless.
If it is a non-profit public or private school, you will need to discuss with your son what he will do after he drops out. Can he get a job, or will he just be hanging around unemployed?
